Take Care of Your Back, It's the Only One You Have: Ways to Manage and Prevent Lower Back Pain for Nursery and Landscape Workers
Approved 0

A special complimentary session at The Landscape Show entitled, “It’s Time to Take Care of Your Back; It’s The Only One You Have,” will be offered to provide ways to manage and prevent low back pain for nursery and landscape workers.

Join Kim Dunleavy, Janeen Blythe, Maria Vanegas from the University of Florida Physical Therapy Department and Southeastern Coastal Center for Agricultural Health and Safety from 3 - 4:30 p.m. Thursday, August 22 in Room W224A at The Orange County Convention Center’s West Building.

Low back pain is very common and can have negative impacts on your workforce (especially your most experienced workers), productivity, and your ability to help out with physically demanding tasks.
This interactive session will focus on prevention, and how to limit the impact of back pain.

Presenters will review the risk of opioid use, and provide information on simple options to reduce and manage pain with simple stretching and ergonomic modifications.

Those in attendance will have the unique opportunity to participate in a study seeking to identify best practices to keep you and your workers working with the least back pain possible. Come be a part of the solution.
