Lance Legel is the CEO of 3co. He holds a Master of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) and has over 15 years of experience in scientific computing, including developing intelligent software for NASA and Fortune 500 companies. In 2018, Lance founded 3co through a horticultural startup program sponsored by a collective of European plant growers who cultivate 20,000 unique cultivars. 3co has since become an industry leader in 3D augmented reality and A.I. for visual image processing technology, which automatically 3D scans and interprets environments. In 2024, 3co launched a search engine for native plants (https://ecodash.ai) and is now developing A.I. for a garden design mobile app in collaboration with professors and practitioners from the University of Florida.
